Sustainable Surf is a California-based non-profit charity organization focused on the preservation of our deep blue life. Their mission is to be the catalyst that transforms surf culture into a powerful force for protecting the ocean playground.
Ecoscraps is stoked to support Sustainable Surf's Deep Blue Life Initiative, which helps individuals drastically reduce their personal impact on our beautiful oceans.
The Deep Blue Life initiative isn't just your usual list of "Ten Things You Can Do To Save The Planet", it's a comprehensive strategy for dramatically reducing your personal impact within SIX broad categories.

#1 Health Management: better food choices you can make (local, organic, sustainably sourced).
#2 Waste Management: Refusing, Reducing, Reusing & Recycling to limit the impact of your daily consumption.
#3 - Renewable Energy: energy like solar, wind and bio-fuels to power your daily life.
#4 - Cleaner Transpiration: bikes, skateboards, electric/hybrid vehicles and ride sharing.
#5 - Community Outreach: get locally involved and seek out environmental / social groups who care about what you do!
#6 - Climate Impact: reduce what you can, but then "offset" the impacts you can't (like air travel, car travel, energy use) that is driving rapid ocean acidification and sea level rise.
